Opal-rumped Tanagers (Tangara velia)

The Opal-rumped Tanager (Tangara velia) is a South-American Tanager that can be found in the Amazon and Atlantic Forest. Those found in the Atlantic Forest tend to have considerably paler chests than other populations and have, therefore, often been considered a separate species.
