The Andaman Serpent Eagles (Spilornis elgini) – also known as Andaman Dark Serpent Eagles – are birds of prey found on the Andaman Islands of India, where they inhabit the rainforests of the interior of the island. The only other serpent eagle found on Andaman Island is the Crested Serpent-eagle, which mostly occurs in the coastal forests.

This species is at risk of extinction and is classified as Near Threatened based on its small range, hunting, and the conversion of its forest habitat for agriculture and residential and infrastructure development.

However, within their small range, the Andaman Serpent Eagles are still quite common.
