We have a couple of red-crowned parakeets that we would like to breed. They do everything one would expect. They prepare the nest and mate. The female lays eggs, but the male EATS them. Once he doesthta she usually joins him. Is it normal?
We have a couple of red-crowned parakeets that we are hoping to breed. They do go through the motion of nesting and mating, but once the female lays eggs, the male ends up EATING them. Once she sees him do that, she usually joins in. Is this normal and how can we stop that. Thanks. R
