The Black-winged Flycatcher-shrike (Hemipus hirundinaceus) is found in the Malay Peninsula and the Greater Sunda Islands, occurring in Brunei, Indonesia, Malaysia, Myanmar and Thailand.

They inhabit subtropical or tropical moist lowland and mangrove forests.
