The Black-bellied Storm-petrel (Fregetta tropica) is a seabird with a wide range:
- Antarctica (southern hemisphere)
- Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Peru, Uruguay, South America
- Australia
- Bouvet Island – an uninhabited Antarctic volcanic island in the South Atlantic Ocean, 2525 km south-southwest of South Africa.
- Falkland Islands – in the South Atlantic Ocean, located about 300 miles (260 nmi; 480 km) from the coast of mainland South America
- French Polynesia – group of islands located in the southern Pacific Ocean
- French Southern Territories – a group of volcanic islands in the southern Indian Ocean, southeast of Africa, approximately equidistant between Africa, Antarctica and Australia
- Madagascar
- Mozambique (South-eastern Africa), South Africa
- New Zealand
- Oman – Arab country in southwest Asia
- Saint Helena
- São Tomé and PrÃncipe: an island nation in the Gulf of Guinea, off the western equatorial coast of Africa
- Solomon Islands
- South Georgia and the South Sandwich Islands – a British overseas territory in the southern Atlantic Ocean
- Vanuatu – an island nation located in the South Pacific Ocean
