Distribution / Range

This seabird breeds in the sub-Antarctic and Antarctic zones and moves further north when not breeding.

It hybridizes with the South Polar and Chilean Skuas.

 

Diet / Feeding

It feeds on fish (often via kleptoparasitism – stealing prey from another), small mammals, scraps, chicks, eggs and carrion.
