Chestnut-crowned Babblers

The Chestnut-crowned Babbler (Pomatostomus ruficeps) is endemic to Australia. They usually form social groups ranging from three to approximately twenty birds.

Usually one breeding female within the group but in large social groups that are beginning to fraction a subordinate female may also breed within the territory.
