Chinese Egrets or Swinhoe’s Egrets

The Chinese Egret or Swinhoe’s Egret (Egretta eulophotes) occurs in Russia, North Korea, South Korea and mainland China, and then migrates south through Japan, the Philippines, Malaysia, Singapore and Indonesia. The main wintering grounds appear to be in the Eastern Visayas (Leyte, Bohol and Cebu).The current population is estimated at between 2,600 and 3,400 birds.

This white egret has a full crest and yellow bill.
