The Chirping Cisticolas (Cisticola pipiens) are endemic to the following African countries:
Angola, Botswana, Burundi, Democratic Republic of the Congo, Namibia, Tanzania, Zambia and Zimbabwe
They live in swamps or subtropical or tropical seasonally wet or flooded lowland grassland.
