The Common Cactus-finch (Geospiza scandens) is endemic to the Galapagos Islands – a group of volcanic islands distributed around the equator in the Pacific Ocean, 972 km west of continental Ecuador, where it inhabits subtropical or tropical dry forests and shrubland.
