Cuckoos

 

Dromococcyx is a genus of cuckoo that can be found in South America’s subtropical or tropical dry forest areas, subtropical or tropical moist lowland forests, and subtropical or tropical swamps. It contains the following species:

  • Pavonine Cuckoo (Dromococcyx pavoninus) : The Pavonine Cuckoo (Dromococcyx pavoninus) is found in Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Ecuador, French Guiana, Guyana, Paraguay, Peru, and Venezuela.
  • Pheasant Cuckoo (Dromococcyx phasianellus) The Pheasant Cuckoo (Dromococcyx phasianellus) is found in Argentina, Belize, Bolivia, Brazil, Colombia, Costa Rica, Ecuador, El Salvador, French Guiana, Guatemala, Guyana, Honduras, Mexico, Nicaragua, Panama, Paraguay, Peru, Suriname, and Venezuela.
