love bird babies

I purchased a proven pair of love birds who are currently hatching eggs but wont feed the babies. Would anyone be able to advise me on why this might be and what to do about it.
thanks

“Proven” pair may only be a promise that they are a proven pair (male and female) and that they have produced chicks. Whether or not they are good PARENTS is another question one should ask when purchasing “proven pairs” … I would do the following: pull the chicks for hand rearing as soon as I observe signs of neglect (not feeding) or abuse (biting the chicks or pulling their feathers or down). Young birds may learn to become good parents. Especially if they were handraised, they didn’t have the benefit of watching their bird parents raises their young, which may impact their own abilities. However, some will learn … However, if you don’t see any improvement, split them up and pair them up with EXPERIENCED partners. Hopefully, they will learn from them. If not, take them out of the breeding program.
