Red-faced Cisticola

The Red-faced Cisticola (Cisticola erythrops) is found in the following African countries:

Angola, Benin, Botswana, Burkina Faso, Burundi, Cameroon, Central African Republic, Republic of the Congo, Democratic Republic of the Congo, Ivory Coast, Ethiopia, Gabon, Gambia, Ghana, Guinea, Kenya, Liberia, Malawi, Mali, Mauritania, Mozambique, Namibia, Nigeria, Rwanda, Senegal, Sierra Leone, South Africa, Sudan, Swaziland, Tanzania, Togo, Uganda, Zambia, and Zimbabwe.

Its natural habitats are subtropical or tropical seasonally wet or flooded lowland grassland and swamps.

The race C. e. lepe, found in Angola and possibly the south-east of the Democratic Republic of Congo, is sometimes regarded as a separate species, the Lepe Cisticola.
