Red Goshawk

The Red Goshawks (Erythrotriorchis radiatus) are likely to be the rarest of all Australian birds of prey. This raptor was named for its reddish plumage.

 

Distribution / Range

The Red Goshawk occurs naturally in the savanna woodlands of northern Australia, particularly near watercourses.

 

Diet / Feeding

The Red Goshawk hunts various live prey, mostly birds.
