Spiderhunters

The spiderhunters are birds that are part of the Sunbird family. They were named for the fact that they hunt spiders – one of their primary food sources.

  • Spectacled Spiderhunter, Arachnothera flavigaster
  • Long-billed Spiderhunter, Arachnothera robusta
  • Little Spiderhunter, Arachnothera longirostra
  • Yellow-eared Spiderhunter, Arachnothera chrysogenys
  • Naked-faced Spiderhunter Arachnothera clarae
  • Grey-breasted Spiderhunter, Arachnothera modesta – sometimes inccluded in A. affinis
  • Streaky-breasted Spiderhunter, Arachnothera affinis
  • Bornean Spiderhunter, Arachnothera everetti
  • Streaked Spiderhunter, Arachnothera magna
  • Whitehead’s Spiderhunter, Arachnothera juliae
