The Spotted Antbird (Hylophylax naevioides) is found in southern Central America, specifically in Nicaragua, Costa Rica and Panama; also Colombia and Ecuador of northwestern South America.
This bird is an open-cup nesting species that lays an average clutch of 2 eggs (Skutch 1945), which both adults incubate (Skutch 1969). The nestling period is 11 days (Skutch 1945, 1969).
