What bird is right for me?

I’ve been doing research on what bird is right for me for nearly two years now, I’ve worked at Petland for quite a while and have some experience taking care of these birds. To tell you a bit about my self I have a regular 9-5 job and then in the winter am going to school, I plan on getting a bird after I graduate and move into my own place, I can handle really loud birds, big messes, and have owned an exotic pet such as a sugar glider before. I hope this information helps you figure out what kind of bird would be the right choice for me.

If anyone knows anything about owning a Conure, Parrotlet, Ringnneck, Lovebird, Plum-headed parakeet, Quaker, Caique, or Pionus please let me know what they are like as pets. I am also to hearing other bird suggestions as well!

You won’t have much time for birds really. Birds are social creatures. Still, if you have the time to spend with a pet bird for at least an hour or so a day, it would be doable if you got TWO (to keep each other company while you are at work or at school). If you continue to socialize, one or both should remain friendly enough to handle. I would recommend a couple of cockatiels or parakeets in a SPACIOUS cage (since they would be spending 90% of their time in there). Lovebirds, parrotlets, conures and other such birds are difficult to keep tamed and their bites are painful.
