Vireos
Yellow-throated Vireos (Vireo flavifrons) are found in open deciduous woods in southern Canada and the eastern United States. They migrate to the deep southern United States, Mexico and Central America. On rare occasions, some of them have been seen in western Europe.
Description:
Adults are mainly olive on the head and upperparts with a yellow throat and white belly. They have dark eyes with yellow “spectacles.”

Similar Species:
Similar Species:No other vireo combines white wing bars, yellow throat and yellow spectacles. Juvenile White-eyed Vireo is similar but does not have a yellow throat. Pine Warblers have similar plumage, but lack spectacles and have a thinner bill, faintly streaked sides, and white tail spots.
Breeding / Nesting:
They make a thick cup nest attached to a fork in a tree branch.
Diet:
They consume insects and some berries.
