Vet rules in Washington
Right now a vet cannot start a relationship with your bird by video alone. Your bird needs a physical exam first, then video can be used. A new law starting July 1, 2027 will allow video first in urgent cases or when you cannot get to a vet.
Visit the Washington Veterinary Board of Governors (Department of Health) website and use its license search.
