Lovebird General InformationLovebird Species Index

Some beautiful lovebird mutations are roaming around in Mike Gieber’s backyard on the Hawaiian island of Maui. These African natives have obviously escaped from a local aviary or have been released.

They are thriving and reproducing on the island. Even though the Hawaiian people enjoy these beautiful small parrots, it is likely that local authorities are concerned about their long-term impact on Maui’s native wildlife.
