Indian Lorikeets (Loriculus vernalis) – Range: South-western India eastwards to Southeast Asia. In Sri Lanka
Layard’s Parakeet (Psittacula calthropae) – Range: Ceylon, Sri Lanka where it is locally common
Plum-headed Parakeets (Psittacula cyanocephala) – Range: Sri Lanka (Ceylon), Rameswaram Island, most of India, Rawalpindi in West Pakistan, Nepal east to Bhutan and West Bengal.
Sri Lanka or Ceylon Hanging Parrot (Loriculus beryllinus) – Range: Sri Lanka (previously known as Ceylon – before 1972)
